Mini Book Madness!

I finally had the chance to sit down and finish the little chipboard book that came in the May kit from Scrapbook Deals 4U. It is the cutest little thing, and I decided that I would make a little book for my Mom. After all, Mother's Day is right around the corner. She has become accustomed to receiving handmade gifts from me. Believe me, it is tough to shop for her. She has everything. Plus, I think that handmade gifts are so much more special!

I added a little felt flower for some added color. The gorgeous felt ribbon is glued around the book and ties to keep the book closed. From my stash, I added Mom's name with those awesome American Crafts rub-ons. I adore that font! The "2008" is from some really, really old Autumn Leaves rub-ons. I knew they would come in handy some day...even if it was 4 years (or maybe even more) down the road!

The inside is pretty simple with only photos on each page. I sometimes feel that less in more. I chose some more recent pics of the kids. If I am not mistaken, this is the 3rd "brag book" that Grama Rose is getting. She does, however, have tons of other handmade goodies. One of my most favorite was the wooden block set that I made for her. I made them when I was trying out for the Fancy Pants DT (a year or two ago, maybe). She has them displayed on her window ledge, and I love seeing them every time I walk in her house.

I have to make a set of these babies for myself one day soon. They are so fun to make! Well, off to bed I go. Hope you have a wonderful night!
