Scrapbooking & Home Decor

I love to scrapbook. I know that I have probably said that one thousand times, but it's true. I just love it. And I love to show off my work. Not in a "look what I can do" way, but in a "hey, look what I did" way, if you know what I mean. I sometimes get sad that my pages end up in albums. Not that I don't like albums because I do. They serve a purpose. I just want to have my pages around me so that people can see and enjoy them...and, to be honest, so I can enjoy them, too. Admit it, don't you find yourself just staring at your latest creation? I know I do. When I have completed a page, I leave it standing up on my desk, and I find myself just "stopping by" to check it out now and again. So, I decided that it was time to formally display some of my work.

Now, I know this is not a new idea. It's not earth-shattering or ground-breaking, but it is fun. I went to Michael's and picked up several 12x12 adjustable depth project frames (aka shadow boxes). They are just perfect for my layouts, especially the ones with lumpy embellishments. Can I say that I am just loving these things! I made a little photo collage of them hanging on my wall:

I am just so excited about these. And the cool thing is that I can change the layouts in them anytime I want to display my new work! How neat for a bit of quick redecorating!

If you are interested in displaying some of your artwork this way, you can pick these frames up at Michael's. They are normally $20, but I got all of them with my 50% off coupons. So each one was only $10 plus tax. I am sure other craft and hobby stores carry similar frames, too.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by and for all of your nice comments!
