What does TypePad have that Blogger doesn't? What am I missing? What makes people pay for a blog service when they can get another blog service for free? Right now, I feel like the only thing that I can't do with Blogger is make a photo album, and it may just be because I have not found that feature yet.
So, please take a minute to tell me what I am missing. Or tell me that I'm not missing anything. I would really appreciate it.
Hi Denine... well, I use blogger. If you poke around, you can figure out how to do 3 columns... it's pretty easy. That was one of the things I liked about Typepad was the format, but, once I figured out that you can do it on blogger, I was OK with it. I also liked the bigger pictures... but, I figured out how to do that, too. Rather than uploading them directly from my computer, I upload them to photobucket, resize them to the width of my middle column, copy the code from photobucket and paste it in. I've been pretty happy thus far. And, free is always good! ;)
ReplyDeletei was with blogger forever and switched over to typepad. I like the pictures, albums and gallery stuff you can do much better. Seems much easier and i'm a total techie dork. ;) I just didn't have the time to fool with it
ReplyDeleteI'll watch for the answers you get because I sure don't know the difference and I sure don't know why people choose one over the other.
ReplyDeleteLook at all the eye candy I've been missing, love the lo with the splash of pink and the mini-album is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI use typepad because it's so much easier to add photos and change things around. Since my on-line time is very limited it's worth the $$ for me. :)
(shrug) all i know is blogger and it has everything i need.
ReplyDeleteI'm just a lurker, but I started with Typepad when I finally decided I wanted a blog a little over a year ago. I knew NOTHING about HTML and wanted something incredibly easy, where I wouldn't have to design my own header or anything. Typepad has a selection of nice templates you can chose from that appealed to me. Mostly I chose Typepad because I kept reading about problems with Blogger and it seemed to go down a lot. Plus I don't like the way you have a new page or screen open up for comments.
ReplyDeleteI now have a blogger blog as well as my typepad one and like them both. I probably could have saved my money and just gone with Blogger. But I still prefer the Typepad comments.
I am a typepad gal. I have worked with blogger before and just find typepad easier. You can customize typepad really easy, making it fit you. The photo albums are fantastic. Can't thing of other differences right now but if I do I will let you know!
