Tinkering Ink Reveal: Becoming Green

I know I already said this about the Retro Metro line, but this line has to be my favorite line that Tinkering Ink is revealing at Summer CHA. Ok, so it is a toss up. Retro Metro is bright and bold and fun, and I adore it. This line is a bit different, but it has stolen my heart in its own special way. Maybe it's the kraft background. Maybe it's the cute little butterflies. All I do know is that I am loving it! I swiped the photo in this layout from my friend, Stayce's, blog. Neither she, nor Miss Becky Fleck, know that I did this layout. I sure hope they don't mind their faces plastered on the Internet...LOL!

I also created this little card with the Becoming Green line.

Yes, that is more beads that you see. I told you that I was addicted! Only a few on this card, but I think just enough to raise the cuteness factor! Tinkering Ink Reveal: Retro Metro

Ok, so I have been up from 4:30 this morning for some odd reason. I guess my body was done sleeping (I'm sure I will pay for that later.) I decided to do my blog post early since I just simply could not wait to share my scrappy goodness from the Tinkering Ink Retro Metro line. This line has to be my favorite one that TI is releasing at CHA! The colors, the patterns, the styles...they all just make me so happy! This layout shows you all of the awesome colors that you can find in the Retro Metro line...greens, blues, pinks, reds! I swear every color of the rainbow is there! So so fun!
For my second layout, I chose a little less bright of a paper for my background! Don't you just love all of those circles! I cut some of them out, backed them with another patterned paper and added some brads for texture! You can click on all of my layouts if you want to get a closer look!

My last Retro Metro project was this cute little card. When it is closed, one flower overlaps the other. I am not a big cardmaker, but I have to say that they are fun to do (and they don't take me nearly as long to make as layouts do.)

Tinkering Ink Reveals: Beau Jardin

Another day and another beautiful line being released from Tinkering Ink. You guys have got to head to the TI Beau Jardin Gallery to see what the other TI DT girls have done with all of the gorgeous, bright, and bold papers from this line. Here is a layout that I did:
I cut the little flowers from one of the papers...aren't they just the cutest flowers ever? I also did a little card with the same flowers:

I had such a fun time creating with this stuff...and that's what scrapping is all about for me...FUN!

Tinkering Ink Reveals: Yuletide 2

Good morning, and I truly hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday weekend. I appreciate all of the firework photography tips that you guys have shared. I did not get any fireworks pics....yet. My downfall was my lack of a tripod, and I am so not a steady handed person. We do have another fireworks display near our home in a few weeks, so I still have a chance. Actually, there have been fireworks in the sky almost every night for weeks now, so I just know that I will have plenty of opportunities to take some pics. I do have a tripod handy now, so I am ready to go!

We had a great time this weekend, and I already had a chance to scrap some of our pictures. I will share that layout on another post though because this post is all about the Tinkering Ink Yuletide 2 collection. What a beautiful collection of muted colors that are so very versatile. They added some awesome new designs to an already awesome line! I did this layout about some winter snow fun.
And I also created this holiday card.

Scrapping with Tinkering Ink

Seems like it has been forever since I last blogged. I have a good excuse, though. I have been very busy getting some scrapping done with the new lines from Tinkering Ink that will be debuting at CHA at the end of July. It has been so much fun working with the awesome new papers. Unfortunately, I am not able to post any of my work yet, but keep checking here this week as I will reveal a creation or two from each new line...whoo hoo! I'm pretty excited about my creations, if I do say so myself! I "borrowed" this image from the Tinkering Ink blog of an adorable card made by design team coordinator, Michelle St Clair.


She cut this sweet little flower out of paper from the Beau Jardin collection. You can check out the entire collection on the Tinkering Ink blog.

And, in other scrappy related news, keep your eyes peeled for layouts from the 2008 CK HOF girls on the CK website. Tomorrow, we will be posting our layouts for the HOF Manufacturers challenge. Creative Sunday!

It was the perfect day to sit down, relax, and scrap a bit. Lots of rain and no sunshine makes it easier to stay indoors and not feel like I am missing something. I pulled out my new Tinkering Ink goodies once again, and I found an awesome Becky Fleck sketch that suited my pictures perfectly. In no time flat, I had a layout done and ready to share.
These pictures of my nieces are about 2 years old. They are from their Senior Prom in 2006. How time flies! I had actually forgotten all about scrapping them until I was backing up my pictures to my external hard drive. I was thrilled to have rediscovered them. Aren't they gorgeous girls? In case you are curious, here is the Becky Fleck sketch that I used.

When it comes to sketches, my translations are pretty literal. I usually stick pretty close to the sketch and then add my own little details. Becky's sketches are so fun to work with, and they make scrapping so easy! I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday. I am still in scrap mode, so I am off! Peace!

Tinkering Ink!

I have some really great and fun news! I was honored last week to have been asked to join the awesome Design Team at Tinkering Ink.

They have such wonderful collections of bold designs and bright colors. I received a generous goodie box from them, and I am currently working on some layouts and projects that I know will turn out awesome! I am thrilled to once again be designing with a few of my old team mates from the Arctic Frog design team...Miss Linda Harrison and Miss Summer Fullerton! Both of them are incredible scrapbookers and designers, and I am thrilled to join them in designing once again!

In addition to these talented ladies, the team also consists of some other wonderfully creative girls: Michelle St. Clair (DT leader), Pam Callaghan, Jillian Deiling, Daniela Dobson, Summer Ford, Dawn Hagewood, Jaime Lynne Lea, Roree Rumph, and Betsy Veldman. I can't wait to get to know these ladies better and get desiging for Ti! Thank you, Paul & Kezia for such a great opportunity!
